Bank Holiday in the Mountains

No I don't speak french even though I passed a university course in it. (I don't know how I did it either).

Welcome to Switzerland....

I am lucky to have family living in this beautiful country. It is a country known by a lot of people just for skiing but it is actually one of my favourite places in the sunshine, and it does get HOT (I'm wearing shorts in MAY!!)

If you ever get the chance to go I recommend visiting Montreux. It's a mixture of old and new with swiss castles, Ferrari lined casinos and hotels I could only dream of staying in! But most of all it is a town alongside Lake Geneva and you just can't get bored of that. Jump on a boat, paddle board or just find a bench with some swiss food and take in the view. It's better than a TV screen.

Below is a picture of Lac de Taney, we climbed up a long mountain trail to the top and my gosh it was worth every step (and all the sweating). Although having a gym membership somehow my feet divert me from it frequently so this was a tough climb for me, BUT I'd do it all again tomorrow.

Up the top you can reward yourself with a beer and a cheese fondue, and even take a dip in a mountain top lake! I don't do that on the everyday 9-5...

I don't think I could ever get bored of this beautiful country, there is so much to explore and different opportunities in changing seasons.

See you soon CH,
